The Flemish Tourism Minister Zuhal Demir (nationalist) has launched a new tourist route. The ‘Castles of the Scheldt’ route links no fewer than 7 historical castles along the banks of the River Scheldt between Ghent (East Flanders) and Antwerp. The route starts at the Gravensteen castle in the centre of Ghent and ends at Het Steen in Antwerp.
