Figures from science health institute Sciensano show that 1,521 people are in hospital with COVID-19. The figure includes people hospitalised for other reasons and is down 2% on the week. The curve of the new fall wave of coronavirus seems to have flattened. The number of new cases and daily hospitalisations are both down. On average 2,748 new cases are being recorded each day in the week to 14 October. The figure is down 13% on the week. On average 9 deaths a day are being linked to the virus.
