The Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon (nationalist) has told VRT news that residents whose properties will decrease in value as a result of the Ventilus high-voltage line will be given “fair compensation”. Also speaking on VRT News’ televised Sunday morning topical discussion programme ‘De zevende dag’, the CEO of the electricity grid operator Elia, Chris Peeters said that he sees no health issues arising for the installation of the high-voltage line above ground.
