In recent years, like those in many other countries, retailers in Belgium have taken on the American tradition of slashing prices of at least some of their goods on what is known as “Black Friday”. Black Friday is the first Friday after Thanksgiving and, like Boxing Day in the UK, has tradionally been a day on which US consumers could bag a bargain.
