On the basis of post-mortem results West Flemish public prosecutors say the newly born baby found dead in a house in Bruges on Wednesday was alive when it came into the world. The baby’s 23-year-old mother has been arrested and is being questioned. Investigators are trying to establish what exactly happened. The woman faces charges of child murder and failing to provide due care.
