Speaking in an interview with VRT Radio 1’s morning news and current affairs programme ‘De ochtend’ the Prime Minister in Belgium’s Federal Government Alexander De Croo (Flemish liberal) said that the measures agreed by EU leaders at Thursday’s European summit do not constitute “a harsh approach” to migration. At Thursday’s meeting of EU leaders, it was agreed that in future border security on the EU’s external borders will be stepped up.
