No smile at Delhaize as staff keep stores closed to protest franchise plans | VRT NWS: news

Around a hundred of the 128 supermarkets currently operated by the Delhaize group will remain closed today as staff digest the news that the management plans to franchise all the stores it still runs itself . Delhaize announced the move at a works council on Tuesday. The group says all stores currently still operated by the group itself will franchised soon.
