Extended professional boards

The extended professional boards (EPBs) are the highest professional body in a particular medical field, tasked with formulating professional doctrine. They are made up of councillors, senior councillors, faculty teachers and other recognised experts in the field of health care. In their decisions, they are committed to scientific advances, peer-reviewed methods and the development of the profession, taking into the account the public health interest.
