he development being proposed by Limerick City and County Council, in conjunction with the Office of Public Works, consists of a series of proposed flood protection measures around King's Island. The measures primarily include both new and upgraded flood defence walls, generally clad in stone, as well as incorporating glazed flood defence panels in the urban areas, and earthen embankments, in addition to associated drainage and public realm improvements.
