Ireland’s first captive-bred Natterjack toadlets released into the wild

Almost 500 Natterjack toadlets were released tat Castlegregory, Co. Kerry, with the help of the local community. These included toadlets that had spawned in captivity – a first for Ireland and a major milestone in this joint conservation project to protect the endangered species between National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and Fota Wildlife Park.
