Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator was born in either 70 or 69 BC (it is not known when exactly) and ruled as Queen of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt from 51 to 30 BC. She is a descendant of Macedonian Greek general Ptolemy I Soter, who was also the bodyguard of Alexander the Great.
