Baby Vision: How Far Can Newborns See?

Up until about three months old, babies can only focus on things up to 20cm in front of them, which is about as far as they can reach. They can generally only hold their gaze for a few seconds. Professor Ben Ambridge does some experiment with baby vision and focus.
