Zimbabwe pardons 2,000 prisoners

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — Zimbabwean authorities say President Robert Mugabe has pardoned 2,000 prisoners in an effort to ease overcrowding in the nation's prisons, which face a shortage of funds and even food.
