Czech police shot dead captor

PRAGUE (AP) — Police say they have shot and killed a man who held a woman hostage for two days. Spokeswoman Alena Bartosova said Tuesday that police had to act because the life of the hostage was threatened by the 41-year-old man, who was also suspected of rape and blackmail.
