Defected Cuban hurdler Ortega seeks new life in US

HAVANA (AP) — Cuban hurdler Orlando Ortega said Tuesday he was spurred to defect after island authorities gave him a six-month suspension for insubordination, and he now hopes to build a new life with family in Florida.
