US wades into Egypt turmoil, fearing implosion

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration, fearing a political-military implosion in Egypt, has abandoned its hands-off approach and delivered pointed warnings to the country's three main players in the crisis: the president, the protesters demanding his ouster and the powerful military.
