Senate approves Obama-pick McCarthy to head EPA
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate plugged two more vacancies in President Barack Obama's second-term leadership team on Thursday, confirming Thomas Perez as labor secretary and Gina McCarthy as administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
